KITCHEN & PRODUCTION CREW (Dual Role – $18 to $24/hr average based on role)
(15–30 hours/week depending on season | Year-round work | Growing local food business)
We are a small, local food business in Beaverton (minutes from the MAX train stop) looking for a dependable and positive teammate who isn’t afraid to roll up their sleeves and work hard with our close-knit kitchen team.
The main focus of this job is helping make dumplings in our production kitchen (mostly prep work). There are also opportunities to cross-train for our restaurant kitchen crew ($24/hr average with shared tips) and for seasonal pop-up events ($28/hr average with shared tips) during spring and summer.
We value people who take pride in doing a good job, show up on time, and work well with others. We provide training for every task — no prior experience needed. What matters most to our team is reliability, teamwork, and a positive attitude.
What You’ll Do (with training):
Primary Role – Production Crew (10–20 hours per week)
Prep and portion ingredients following recipes
Help operate a small dumpling-making machine and assist with production
Label, bag, and store finished products in the freezer
Keep work areas and tools clean and organized
Secondary Role – Restaurant Kitchen Crew (1–2 shifts per week)
Support the kitchen during our limited restaurant hours with light cooking, plating, and teamwork
This role includes shared tips and averages around $24/hr
Optional Opportunity – Seasonal Pop-Ups (Spring/Summer)
Assist at local events; average pay around $28/hr with shared tips
Who You Are:
Dependable and easy to work with — you show up on time, ready to do your part, and keep a positive attitude
Comfortable with physical work (lifting up to 50 lbs occasionally)
Team player who enjoys learning and working with a small, close-knit team
Ready to get a food handler’s permit within a week of hire (we’ll show you how — it’s quick and simple)
English fluency is not required, but basic English is helpful. Our small team is happy to work with someone who wants to practice and improve their English while working.
(No se requiere hablar inglés con fluidez, pero se prefiere inglés básico. Nuestro pequeño equipo está feliz de trabajar con alguien que quiera practicar y mejorar su inglés mientras trabaja.)
