Restaurant & Business Manager
Wanted: Person interested in a part time business manager position for a new downtown Vancouver restaurant opening very soon. Service and bartending shifts are also available which qualify for the tip pool.
Here are the basics:
The restaurant is a prix fixe, three course, dinner only. Tuesday-Saturday operation. There will be five seasonal selections in each course category for a total of fifteen menu items.
There will be an extensive wine program as well as a full bar.
Our emphasis is on quality of food and service rather than check building.
You can expect:
A generous hourly wage.
The restaurant will operate five nights a week, 48 weeks a year.
The office component should be approx. 15 hours a week.
You will be responsible for the scheduling of servers.
You will be responsible for the filing of all required reports, payroll etc.
When working service positions, you will be a participant in the tip pool which ONLY includes service staff. None of the tips go to the kitchen staff or other employees.
This is going to be a very high paced job. If you like standing around, this is not the job for you.
This restaurant is expected to have a check average of approx. $125.00. so the tip pool should be plentiful.
The restaurant is at the end of the construction phase with a projected October opening date.
Business and POS knowledge are plus but a willingness to learn is far more important.
