We are currently seeking an energetic, skilled Dental Hygienist who can work independently, efficiently manage their treatment room, and communicate effectively with patients.
Responsibilities:
Independently conduct dental cleanings: including prophylaxis, periodontal maintenance, and scaling & root planing procedures
Set up and turnover treatment room; maintain and sterilize instruments
Administer Local Anesthesia
Perform periodontal charting and assessments
Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques, prevention and nutrition.
Assist in the detection of oral diseases and abnormalities through visual and tactile examinations.
Take dental radiographs (digital intraoral and panoramic X-rays) as necessary
Use intra oral camera for patient education
Assist the dentist with notes or charting during recall examinations.
Collaborate with the dentist to develop individualized home care protocols and treatment plans.
Maintain accurate and detailed patient records.
Inventory maintenance for hygiene supplies
Foster positive relationships with patients through compassion and genuine communication
Qualifications:
Current Oregon dental hygiene license
CPR for healthcare providers certification
Prefer at least 2 years experience with proven ability to work independently
Proficient in performing dental cleanings, periodontal assessments, and dental radiographs.
Knowledge of dental software and digital imaging systems; Eaglesoft a plus.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively educate and foster positive, caring professional relationships with patients
Detail-oriented and committed to maintaining accurate and organized patient records.
Motivated to learn new things and stay updated on industry trends and advancements through continuing education.
