Job description
Are you a compassionate caring individual. We are looking for competent, compassionate and caring caregivers to care for mental health clients in a professional manner. We provide care to individuals with mental health disabilities. We provide medication management, prepare 3 meals daily, basic housekeeping, provide ADLs as needed, manage client appointment scheduling and basic charting. The ideal caregiver is patient, fair, firm, consistent, friendly with excellent communication skills. This can be a satisfying and rewarding job for individuals who like to help those who can’t always help themselves.
Shifts are:
Thursday 6:00PM until Sunday 6:00PM
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent
One year caregiving experience
Clear criminal background check
No substantiated abuse cases
Be literate and capable of understanding written and oral orders
Have good communication skills
Experience in Management and Medication Administration
Responsibilities:
Management and Medication Administration
Assist with basic ADL’s if needed
Cook and Prepare 3 meals daily
Perform light housekeeping
Be a pleasant and supportive companion
Report unusual incidents and chart progress
Act quickly and responsibly in cases of emergency
Skills:
Experience as a caregiver
Knowledge of emergency response and first aid (CPR)
Good housekeeping and cooking with attention to dietary constraints
Willingness to adhere to health and safety standards
Respectful and compassionate
Good time management skills
Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
Strong ethics
Physical endurance
