Windhorse Integrative Mental Health, a small non-profit founded in 1993, is seeking either a full-time or part-time Clinical Team Counselor for our Portland, OR location. Windhorse is a semi-residential therapeutic community that uses a mindfulness and relationship-based philosophy in working with individuals experiencing health issues such as depression, psychosis and trauma.
Windhorse Program structure: Teams of 4+ clinicians work together to offer plenty of support and 1-on-1 time to clients. A team counselor meets with a client for typically 3 hours at a time, perhaps several times per week, partaking in activities that support healing in client homes or out and about in the community such as hiking, sharing a meal, getting coffee, volunteering, taking a class together, etc. Full-time case load is only a few clients per clinician, allowing for extensive depth of healing and connection.
A generous amount of supervision, mentoring and training is offered by our senior staff for this position. If you have ever felt constrained by standard mental health practices and are moved by the therapeutic community model, we highly encourage you to apply!
