We are a small agency looking for someone with a lot of compassion and patience to provide support to adults with learning disabilities in their homes and communities. Each customer presents their own goals and challenges, and we endeavor to provide them with the assistance that they want in the manner that they want it. They may want help with things like housekeeping, grocery shopping, and going to the doctor, and may want you to help them to make friends and have some fun.
Your work day may be spent with one or more customer, and you may be doing things like teaching someone to cook, helping them organize their homes, bowling, exercising at the gym, or walking in the park. You may choose to work a few hours per week or a more full schedule.
One customer says she would like to go out to breakfast, shop at the dollar tree, and go watch dogs at the dog park.
A young woman would like someone to work with her on craft projects, shopping, and cooking.
A young man has asked for someone to work with him on housekeeping, shop for groceries and cook dinners.
A gentleman would like someone to work with him when he volunteers with a college football team.
Paid training is provided, as well as reimbursement for transportation costs when the customer is in your car.
Driver License, Reliable Insured Automobile, and Safe Driving History are Required.
HCW, PSW, DSP, and CNAs are encouraged to apply.
