Position: Shipping Clerk
Pacific Trail Manufacturing is looking to fill an entry level shipping clerk for our fabrication shop located in SE Portland. We’re a small business looking for someone with attention to detail and a forklift license/experience.
The ideal applicant will be able to work as a team member, on-time, follow multi-step verbal communication and will strive for manufacturing best practices and cleanliness. We are promoting the previous shipping clerk so he will still be here to help train you and answer questions as they come up. This is why little to no shipping experience is needed.
Responsibilities:
Unload pallets and raw steel from trucks using the forklift.
Put away inventory that we receive.
Box up shipments.
Use a computer to check-in returned parts from our customer.
Keep data and supplies organized.
Qualifications:
Forklift license or experience.
Physically able to lift heavy objects up to 70 lbs.
Attention to detail with good eyesight.
Good organizational skills.
Good verbal communication skills to follow multi-step verbal instructions.
3+ years of work experience (in any job or military position).
Able to read and follow work orders.
Ability to read a tape measure.
Reliable transportation.
Be able to pass an illegal (Oregon) drug screen.

Starting pay $22/hr
Performance reviews every 3-6 months/ every year after 1st year
