Plumbing Assembly Technician

Plumbing Assembly Technician - will assemble high purity and industrial plumbing panels, valve boxes, manifolds and process piping from prints. The technician will build plumbing assemblies to print, including layout and physical mounting of components to the back panel, route piping/tubing of all components, installation of plumbing panels into equipment, and testing to ensure proper operation.

Fabricates and assembles pipe and tubing components for air, water, oil and chemical systems, according to specifications, using hand tools, power tools, machines, equipment, and measuring instruments.

Reads work order, blueprints or schematics to determine dimensions, configuration, and finish specifications.

Establishes location of cutouts, holes, and tube lines of parts and relationship of parts to each other, using measuring instruments, such as rule, scales, and dividers.

Sets up and operates variety of manual and power machines to cut, bend, form, swage, flare, bead, and fuse according to specifications.

Attaches fittings, such as nuts, sleeves, collars, and caps, to tubing components, using hand tools.

Tests tubing and tank assemblies for leaks and other defects, by means of pressure, vacuum or gravity testing equipment.

Marks identifying information on plumbing assemblies with label, stamp, or other method.

May weld tubing and fittings, using hot air welder, butt/socket fusion, or other bonding equipment.

May set up and operate computer-controlled tube bonding systems.

Maintain red line drawing mark-ups of changes required during fabrication

Communicate red line changes to Engineer or Supervisor for revision prior to completion

Communicates effectively with all team members, leads, builders, engineers and the Project Manager

The ability to meet deadlines under pressure

A high standard of quality and attention to detail.

Have a valid Driver's license.

Available to perform off-site Field Service work when needed.

Must have 2 + years of experience to be considered

High School diploma or equivalent, technical school attendance is a plus.

Knowledge of plumbing theory and terminology is required, with the ability to understand and work from flow schematics.

Sit and stand for prolonged periods of time.

Ability to read, analyze and interpret written materials.

Ability to perform mathematical calculations discounts, proportions and percentages.

Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.

Proficient in Microsoft Office and other company software required for your position.

The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 20 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds.

Monday - Thursday 6am- 4:30pm
