Job Description
The Kitter works as a member of the Shipping and Receiving Team, performing a variety of tasks. Kitter is responsible for collecting, preparing parts and materials for production. Position will use material handling equipment such as forklift and pallet jack. Will also perform a variety of shipping, receiving and safety tasks.
Position Responsibilities
Kitting
Ensures production is fully supported by identifying and gathering parts for assembly based on pick list.
Identifying inventory issues and reporting to supervisor.
Input and extraction of information from the ERP system.
Disperses materials into kits for assembly, pulls and delivers materials to production departments.
Communicates with team members and members of other departments.
Reads drawings and blueprints, inspecting parts and comparing drawings.
Receives and unloads incoming materials and compares information on packing slip with purchase order to verify
accuracy of shipment; may process return shipments from customers.
Sorts, counts, packages, labels, unpacks, and/or logs inventory which is shipped or received.
Inspects shipments for damages or defects; records discrepancies or damages and notifies supervisor and/or
purchasing personnel.
Will operate dolly, pallet jack, and/or forklift in loading and unloading supplies and equipment.
Follows established departmental policies, procedures, and objectives, continuous quality improvement objectives,
and safety, environmental, and/or infection control standards.
Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.

Skills & Qualifications
High school diploma or GED; at least 1 year of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities
specified.
Ability to maintain quality, safety, and/or inspection control standards.
Ability to use measuring tools.
Knowledge of basic computer skills, knowing Microsoft Suites & Teams is a plus.
Ability to read and write and speak clearly.
Ability to understand and follow all safety procedures.
Ability to receive, track, and distribute materials, supplies, and equipment.
Ability to process routine administrative paperwork.
Ability to read, sort, check, count, and verify numbers.
Ability to stand, walk, reach, move and lift up to 50 pounds.
Ability to perform simple arithmetic.
Ability to detect problems and report information to appropriate personnel.
Ability to receive, stock, and/or deliver goods.
Previous manufacturing experience is a must
