We are seeking a dedicated individual to join our Quality Control Department in our established, family-owned company.
The Quality Control Technician plays a crucial role in ensuring each varsity jacket meets our exacting standards before reaching our valued customers.
Settlemier's Jackets has been crafting premium varsity-style lettermen jackets in Portland for over 70 years. Our reputation for excellence extends worldwide, with our commitment to quality being a cornerstone of our jackets' distinctive appearance and durability.
As a Quality Control Technician, you will be responsible for the final inspection of our jackets before they ship to customers. Your responsibilities will include detailed inspection of garments, operation of snap-setting equipment, and ensuring each jacket meets our high standards of craftsmanship.
The position requires attention to detail, patience, and a commitment to maintaining our high standards of quality. While prior quality control experience is beneficial, we will provide comprehensive training to the right candidate.
Key responsibilities include:
Inspecting jackets for quality and construction accuracy
Operating kick-press snap machines
Following detailed order specifications
Using household iron and basic tools
Maintaining smooth workflow and meeting production goals
Packaging and preparing jackets for shipping
Communicating effectively with team members about quality concerns

Must be 18 years or older
Ability to maintain focus on detailed work

Reliable attendance
Commitment to quality and craftsmanship
Ability to lift and handle jackets safely
Capability to read and follow detailed order forms
