Powell’s Books, the world’s largest independent bookstore, has openings for part-time and full-time Generalist positions at our Burnside store. The generalist positions are part of a team involved in a variety of tasks, including:
Cashiering
Customer Service
Shelving
The successful candidates will have a strong and demonstrated commitment to excellent customer service, adaptability and flexibility, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, demonstrated experience ensuring accuracy in their work, and attention to detail.

The starting wage for these positions is $15.45 per hour, with a wage increase to $17.00 effective the first day of the pay period following the 31st calendar day from hire.
The schedules are to be determined, but will be regular and consistent, and include one or both weekend days. Shifts may fall between 7am and 9pm. We're expecting these temporary positions to last through early September.
