Assistant Carpenter wanted
Suite Additions, a local remodel company in Tigard, focused on Accessibility Remodeling is looking for a hard working, trust-worthy, multi-talented individual to join our team.
The Assistant Carpenter works on the job sites, at the direction of the Project Manager and/or Lead Carpenter, and drives the company vehicle as needed for deliveries, trips to the dump, etc. This person should be:
- Eager to learn all aspects of residential remodeling
- Have a clean driving record
- Fluent in English; Knowledge of Spanish would be a benefit.
- Good communication and listening skills
- Detail oriented
- Desire to learn and work with other co-workers
- Some carpentry experience is helpful
Type of work we do:
Suite Additions focuses on residential remodels, especially those projects where we can help others with accessibility needs live a fuller life. This may include:
- Room Additions (i.e. adding an ADA accessible Master Suite to the main floor)
- Bathroom remodels (i.e. converting a bathtub to a curbless shower)
- Installing ceiling track lift systems (to lift and transport a person from place to place)
- Installing ramps as an alternative to stairs
- Widening doorways
- Installing grab bars
And there are a few Commercial and Government projects each year as well.
So, while there will always be cabinets, doors, windows, siding and flooring to install, there is also a variety of unique projects to tackle.
