Small but busy locally owned auto repair shop looking for an experienced mechanic with at least 2 years real world working experience to join our team. ASE certification preferred but not a deal breaker. We are fast paced and focus on thorough repair. We service most makes and models - very light diesel work and little European. Pay from 20.00 to 30.00 per hour depending on skill level and qualifications. Hours are 8AM-5PM Monday-Friday no weekends. If interested feel free to give us a call, email a resume, or stop on by.
Job DUTIES:
Diagnose and/or repair - Brake and hydraulic, exhaust, fuel ignition and electrical, suspension and alignment, air conditioning, cooling systems, computer systems engine/transmission. R&R engines, transmissions, timing belts/chains etc.
Adequately explain needed repairs to service writer
Assist fellow technicians/mechanics as needed
Job REQUIREMENTS:
MUST HAVE automotive or truck repair experience
Valid driver's license
Have a minimum of 2 years experience OR vocational training
Have own tools and box - shop supplies most communal items such as scanners, torque wrenches, cam locking tools, floor jacks, specialty sockets, etc.
Good work history
ASE or Manufacturer Certifications (or able to obtain)
Good Communication Skills
Desire To Succeed
Dependable and hard work ethic
Show up on time. No being late.
Maintain a decently clean work space
