Abacela has been growing grapes and producing world-class wines in the Umpqua Valley for more than a quarter century. We enjoy sharing these wines with local wine lovers and visitors from around the world in our Vine & Wine Center.
We are looking to add someone to our hospitality team who can not only provide exceptional hospitality and professional service while guiding the guest experience, but also assist with onsite events throughout the year. In this role as a Tasting Room Associate, you will do the following:
Greet, serve, and help inform our customers about our story and our wines
Perform all opening and closing procedures
Learn our POS/CRM (Wine Direct) and reservation management software (Tock)
Perform general cleaning and dish duties throughout the work day
Help coordinate and work events, including TGIF Wine & Pizza Fridays, our Summer music series, and other occasional wine club events
Hospitality experience is preferred, but we can train the right candidate who has a passion and curiosity for wine. Applicants must:
Have a clean, professional appearance and positive attitude
Work well with others and be a team player
Possess strong communication skills
Handle adversity and be able to work in a fast-paced environment
Enjoy interacting with others and meeting unique people from all over the world
Be able to stand for long periods of time and lift 40 pounds regularly
Be available to work weekends and occasional evenings
This is a part-time position. Compensation includes hourly wage plus tips.
