Seeking full-time cook for Pacific Ridge residential drug and alcohol treatment center. Most of our cooking is done from scratch, and we are interested in candidates who can cook tasty, plain food, family style; education in a culinary institute is not required. Cooking for a large family is the type of experience we prefer, as it is most like what this position requires.
Duties include all aspects of kitchen work - prepping, cooking, kitchen clean up, creating menus, and other tasks as assigned. Hours are currently Thursday through Monday 9:30 am - 6:30 pm, Tuesday-Wednesday off.
Requirements of this job include:
- Experience cooking entire meals for groups or large family.
- No drug, alcohol, cannabis, or nicotine use permitted, on or off the job (this includes no CBD, vaping, nicotine patches or gum, etc.). No exceptions for occasional use - this is a firm requirement, and a urine screening will be done. In addition, people in recovery must have two years of continuous sobriety.
- Must have reliable transportation, as Pacific Ridge is located out in the country, near I-5 exit 244.
