Responsibilities:
The purpose of this position is to assist the Cook 2 to ensure that customers of the dining center will get an appealing, nutritious and satisfying meal. This includes maintaining quality of service, preparation of menu items using good cooking methods as well as adhering to safety/sanitation requirements. This position in collaboration with management team is responsible for training and lead work (scheduling, assigning work, and approving work) of student employees. This position is required to support the established professional standards, policies and procedures of the work unit, department, and university.

University Housing & Dining Services offers a variety of dining options across the Oregon State University Corvallis campus. We are a self-operated food service department that serves food in micro-restaurants using fresh ingredients. We are known for the great care we take of students and other guests.
University Housing & Dining Services houses over 4,800 students and offers a variety of living and dining options in 15 residence halls, three dining centers, a market, catering, and 10-14 convenience and coffee shop locations across the Corvallis campus. We employ over 150 professional dining employees and 800 student employees. We provide clean, sanitary working environments for our guests and employees that are regularly maintained and serviced.
