GLISS Staffing is hiring a Harvest Logistics Coordinator for a seasonal position with a local cherry production facility! Perform a wide variety of tasks related to the receiving of the annual cherry crop. This is a collaborative job which will require close coordination with a few key employees.
Duties and responsibilities of the Harvest Logistics Coordinator
Check in harvest drivers who are delivering loads of cherries
Evaluate truck paperwork and create appropriate documents used to guide the flow of product through subsequent processes
Use GradeStar software to crate yard pass documentation (employer will teach software)
ample and evaluate fresh fruit receipts as needed
Reconcile various quality and production documents
Other duties as assigned
Skills and qualifications
Must be able to communicate effectively
Possess strong organization, evaluation and problem solving skills
Working knowledge of Microsoft office suite - mainly MS Excel
Must be able to work flexible hours. During peak harvest, work is 7 days per week for up to 5 weeks. At the peak of activity, shifts are typically 10 hours and start at either 6am or 8am
Basic English is required, bilingual preferred
Good communication skills in the form of written, spoken and email
