Qualifications

· To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily

· Must have at least 1-2 years of automotive industry experience and expertise (auto repair, customer service, and sales)

· Must have a valid California driver's license and good driving record

· Must be willing to work extended hours as needed, including evenings and weekends

· Excellent customer service skills

· Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook

CDK is a Plus

· Excellent communication and time management skills

· Able to problem-solve and handle a variety of issues

· Must be self-motivated and able to follow direction and able to work independently or as a team

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills

· Ability to multi-task projects, establish priorities, work independently and organize effectively

· Must be detail-orientated and be able to work under pressure

Responsibilities

· The Assistant Service Manager is a front-line associate who liaises between our guests, the technician, and the Service Manager.

· You will assist the guest with taking care of their vehicle, writing the repair order, facilitating the servicing, and walking the customer's vehicle through the entire service process

· Position is 100% on-site

· Spends a minimum of 60% of daily work activities communicating information to guests on maintenance and repair needs that are identified and writing repair orders for services

· Promotes service sales through communication of information to guests on maintenance and repair needs that are identified during the service appointment process

· Carefully inspect every finished repair order for proper completion, pricing accuracy, and legibility

· Collects the total retail charges from guests in cash, check, or authorized charge account, to include making change and issuing receipts to the guest

· Close and finalize all repair orders for which funds have been received in the computer system, and reconcile cash drawer daily

· Remain continuously posted on the shop’s workload to determine the kind of work the shop can quickly accommodate

· Keep abreast of new products, features, etc., and their benefits to guests

· The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to perform the essential functions of this job successfully

· Regularly lift and move objects up to 15 pounds

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $28/hr
