Non-Emergency Medical Transport Driver

Driver for Non-Emergency Medical Transportation (NEMT)

Purpose

Providing caring and responsible wheelchair and ambulatory transportation for patients to and from their medical appointments, and other events using a company owned non-emergency medical transportation vehicle in Yamhill, Polk and Marion counties, as well as other locations as directed.

Duties

Transport passengers safely, assist them door-to-door, load & unload both passengers and belongings

Follow schedule, GPS, other company apps, and report regularly to dispatch.

Maintain vehicle interior and exterior

Complete all required docs and maintenance records clearly and accurately.

Participate in training and educational opportunities

Skills / Qualifications

Safety and security minded, able to read and use GPS & other apps

Reliable, energetic, customer service/team oriented, excellent communicator

Able to lift (up to 70 lbs.), or carry, push, and pull people in wheelchairs

Preferred: Current CPR/First Aid Cert

Minimum Requirements (NOTE: Not meeting any of these will disqualify you from service)

Must be 23 years of age with a minimum of 1 year of uninterrupted driving experience

Pass Federal Criminal Background Check (NO FELONY CONV. PAST 10 Years)

Pass initial Drug Test, be willing/able to submit to random drug testing

The applicant is not a match in the National Sex Offender Public Registry

Within the past five (5) years: N○ Misdemeanors that involved theft, robbery, burglary, assault, sex crimes, drugs, prostitution, or weapons ○r any traffic crime including, but not limited to: Driving under the influence of intoxicants (DUII), reckless driving, attempting to elude a police officer, or leaving the scene of an injury accident

Within the past three (3) years: Any suspension or revocation of driver’s license that is driving related, in any jurisdiction; Greater than five (5) traffic violations; Greater than five (5) motor vehicle accidents that are required to be reported to the Oregon DMV; Greater than five (5) of any combination of serious traffic violations or motor vehicle accidents as provided above

Within the past twelve (12) months: Two or more traffic violations of ANY kind as defined by ORS 801.55

Compensation/Benefits

Full time and Part time shifts available, possible overtime

Full time employees - health insurance benefits

Starting wage $16.50 per hour

Paid every two weeks
