Date Posted:2024-09-12Country:United States of AmericaLocation:HOR32: Wilsonville, OR 27300 SW Parkway , Wilsonville, OR, 97070-9215 USAPosition Role Type:OnsiteCollins Aerospace Vision and Sr Electrical Engineering is responsible for all electrical engineering tasks related to the design, analysis, test and certification of aerospace Head-Up Displays, Helmet Mounted Displays, and Avionics Vision Systems in both commercial and military fields.This position is primarily for a digital hardware designer with an emphasis on design, implementation, and testing of complex digital circuit cards with high-speed data links.What You Will Do:

Design high-reliability electronic circuits for commercial and military avionics

Define and capture requirements for new hardware designs using enterprise tools such as Jama

Perform preliminary design activities such as hardware architecture and design trade-studies

Perform detailed design activities such as circuit analysis and schematic generation

Perform technical oversight and coordination of circuit card layout

Perform functional test and integration of circuit card prototypes

Design and build integration support equipment

Oversee efforts of less experienced electrical designers

What You Will Learn:

Enhance your skills with electrical qualification testing

Support manufacturing during early unit builds

Qualifications You Must Have:

Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) unless prohibited by local laws/regulations and minimum 2 years of prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field or in absence of a degree, 6 years of relevant experience

Familiar with Collins Aerospace processes and procedures

Qualifications We Prefer:

Experience with Siemens EDA Xpedition Design and Layout

Experience working with AMD (Xilinx) FPGAs and Vivado

Experience creating test benches and simulating with Siemens EDA QuestaSim or ModelSim

Digital board design experience implementing FPGAs with multi-gigabit serial links

The salary range for this role is 64,000 USD - 128,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
