Senior Engineer

POSITION DUTIES: Lead individual that is required to administer, monitor, manage and execute contractor Protection & Control engineering resources and activities associated with projects. Develop a decision evaluation matrix to evaluate items which affect scope, budget and cost. Provide necessary technical expertise and oversight to engineering contractor to ensure deliverables meet design expectations. Works with Project Management and Construction Management to ensure safe, cost-effective constructive design meeting all deliverables. Act as Relay Engineering lead for project. Ensure work of Construction contractors meets design standards. Participate in site visits for construction projects.REQUIRMENTS: Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field and and 7 years of Electrical Engineering in the area of sub-station design or in the alternative a Bachelor's degree in EE and 9 years of Electrical Engineering experience in substation designSPECIAL REQUIREMENTS: At least 1 year of the experience must be in the role of Owner's Engineer with demonstrated work in Project Engineering and P&C design. Occasional travel to project sites. Will work 1-2 days per week on employer office and remainder in client office.

  • Conduct an in-depth analysis to identify operational needs and gaps that the new software solution aims to address.  Evaluate potential software options for their ability to meet these needs while ensuring compatibility with data security and privacy regulations, including IRS Publication 1075. Engage with internal stakeholders from various departments (e.g., IT, finance, human resources) to gather requirements and ensure the software solution meets a wide range of needs. Consult with legal and compliance teams to ensure the selected software complies with relevant federal and state regulations, including those related to the handling of sensitive information. Develop a plan to ensure that the software implementation and operation are in strict compliance with IRS Publication 1075 and other applicable regulations, focusing on data security measures such as encryption and access control. Incorporate best practices in cybersecurity to protect against data breaches and unauthorized access. Develop training programs to educate staff on the use of the new software, emphasizing the importance of compliance with data protection regulations. Implement a change management strategy to facilitate smooth adoption of the software, addressing potential challenges and ensuring staff buy-in. Oversee the technical deployment of the software, ensuring seamless integration with existing systems and minimal disruption to operations. Work closely with IT to perform thorough testing, including security testing, to validate the software\'s functionality and compliance with security standards. Set up mechanisms to monitor the software\'s performance and its adherence to compliance and security requirements. Establish a process for collecting feedback and making iterative improvements to optimize the software\'s utility and compliance posture. Schedule and conduct regular audits to verify ongoing compliance with IRS Publication 1075 and other relevant regulations. Proactively address any identified compliance issues or vulnerabilities to maintain the integrity of data and system security.
