The Bedford County Assistance Office (CAO) is looking for a motivated Clerical Assistant 2 to join our team. Use your excellent customer skills and office support efficiency to help us achieve our goals and apply today!DESCRIPTION OF WORKAs a Clerical Assistant 2, you will perform a variety of clerical and general office duties by following office protocol, using relevant systems, and providing professional customer service. You will answer incoming calls, apply basic computer skills to complete data entry, and utilize standard office equipment to effectively process documents and information. Additionally, you will monitor office supplies, make travel arrangements, and prepare correspondence.Interested in learning more? Full-time employment, 37.5 hour work week.
Work hours are 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 60-minute lunch.
Work Conditions: Assigned duties are performed in a controlled office environment. In counties with District Offices, employees may be reassigned to different work sites due to operational needs. Reassignments will be made in compliance with contract language.
Overtime and travel as needed.
Salary:In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITYQUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
Six months as a Clerical Assistant 1 (commonwealth title); or
Graduation from high school; or
An equivalent combination of experience and training.Other Requirements:

Hiring preference for this vacancy may be given to candidates who live within Bedford County. If no eligible candidates who live within Bedford County apply for this position, candidates who reside in other counties may be considered.
