You will be the face of the company and provide the high-level of service EPC is known for throughout the world. When a driver is not on the road or scheduled for pickups, they will be a valuable member of the Bethlehem, Pennsylvania team as an IT processing technician, performing basic IT functions.EPC provides comprehensive hands-on training to develop qualified candidates into successful members of our team.We are devoted to providing seamless and integrated data security and end-of-life IT asset solutions for hundreds of organizations around the world. Drive up to 40 hours a week with overtime available often.
Make pick-ups and deliveries using a 26' standard transmission box truck.
Identify equipment to be removed from the customer's facility.
Load/unload trucks, pack/unpack, wrap skids, and move computer equipment.
Pack and wrap equipment on pallets for shipping and load trucks with pallets.
Confidentially and accurately wipe data from hard drives.
Travel the interstate and potentially stay 3 to 4 nights on the road on a weekly basis.
Per diem granted for overnight trips for hotel and food.
Work and communicate professionally with the customer and headquarters office.
Assist in the warehouse when not driving.
Requirements and Background Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Valid Class C (Operator's) driver's license.
Must obtain U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) certification within first 90 days of hire.
Experience driving 26' or larger trucks.
A clear driving record (no accidents and no more than two minor moving violations within the last 24 months).
The ability to stand, walk, sit, bend, twist, reach and routinely lift up to 50 lbs. while performing job duties.
Previous experience in a warehouse environment (especially preparing and packing equipment skids).
Experience in completing and maintaining bills of lading and electronic driver's log books (ELD), packaging and transporting computer assets and devices.
