Human Resources Assistant

PRIMARY FUNCTION:The Human Resources Assistant will provide administrative support for the Human Resources Department. Serving as the primary greeter and facilitator for the Congress Street facility, the HR Assistant will direct visitors and callers to the appropriate party in a timely and professional manner. The HR Assistant will also coordinate and support Human Resource sponsored events and provide administrative support to the Human Resource group.PRIMARY DUTIES:

Receive incoming telephone calls, take messages or forward calls when appropriate.

- Assist employees with Human Resources needs and direct accordingly.```{=html}```

- Receive and distribute incoming/outgoing mail for the Human Resources group.```{=html}```

- Assist with new employee onboarding where appropriate (i.e., Photo ID, HRIS System Upload, etc.)```{=html}```

- Coordinate and execute special projects and events including but not limited to: Company Picnic, Manufacturing Day, Veteran's Day, United Way, employee waivers, driver checks, employee gifts, dinners, orientations, training programs, general employee mailings, morale boosters, etc.```{=html}```

- Appropriate filing/scanning/faxing where applicable.```{=html}```

- Maintain petty cash box, including buying and balancing stamp fund.```{=html}```

- Coordinate collection and distribution of coins collected from women's restrooms.```{=html}```

- Maintain office equipment and order all stock to supply inventory for division. Order departmental supplies utilizing AX or other Company systems.```{=html}```

- Maintain confidentiality of personnel files and information.```{=html}```

- Assist with special projects: employee gifts, picnics, dinners, orientations, training programs, general employee mailings, etc.```{=html}```

- Create and distribute new Company Postings where appropriate.

Assist Health Care Administrator by preparing schedules for events, assisting with wellness programs, and other clerical duties.

- Perform related duties or special assignments as directed.```{=html}```

- Ensure the company security procedures are being followed.```{=html}```

- Execute company policies and procedures.```{=html}```

- Uphold company image of quality to promote customer satisfaction and retention.```{=html}```

- Act as a backup for all aspects of Time and Attendance and other duties of the HR Coordinator.EDUCATION AND ADDITIONAL ELIGIBILITY QUALIFICATIONS:

Associates' degree or equivalent business related experience.

One to two years' experience in relevant field.

Any similar combination of education and experience.

Demonstrated Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite required.

Knowledge of AX operating system a plus.
