Job DescriptionWe are currently hiring a Powerhouse Operator in Breinigsville, PA.
We are seeking a candidate who will be responsible for monitoring and maintaining a Brewery Utility System that operates 24/7. The ideal candidate will have significant technical expertise in Brewery Utility Systems, including but not limited to boilers, refrigeration, carbon dioxide, compressed air, water conditioning and chemical treatment, waste control, and waste recovery. This position requires an individual who is a self-starter and is willing to take operational responsibility. Additionally, the candidate must be available to work any shift, including weekends.
What You'll Brew:
Responsible for monitoring, diagnostics repair and maintenance of all brewery utility systems by manufacturer and company standards, including but not limited to; High pressure steam boilers and auxiliary equipment including fuel, water, and steam condensate return system.,Ammonia / glycol refrigeration system,Carbon dioxide bulk unloading, storage, vaporization pressure control, distribution, and recovery system, Waste water control facility including effluent conditioning, Emergency response to brewery evacuation system and C02 alarms.Fire suppression system,Brewery HVAC including dehumidification equipment,Air compressors and compressed air distribution system,Brewery feed water supply, pasteurization, conditioning, and distribution system,Process motors, pumps, heat exchangers, sanitary sewer and ground water pumps , Able to perform high voltage switch gear 69,000 volt switching under direct supervision.,
Accurately document, record, and update utility readings and daily logs
Use the computerized maintenance management system, be proactive and preventive
Support maintenance and engineering projects and initiatives.
Diagnose and repair hydraulic and pneumatic systems. Knowledge of Cylinders, valves, manifolds, vacuum systems, air filtration and lubrication devices.
Proficient in knowledge of bearings, pulleys, chain drives, belt drives, and lubricants standards and applications.
Utilize verniers, calipers, and depth gauges etc.
Diagnose and repair motors, breakers, switches, starters, relays, timers, photo/ultrasonic sensors, level and pressure switches, and power supplies.
Diagnose and repair PLC and VFD control/related systems
What Ingredients You'll Bring:
Minimum Qualifications:
Experience in the installation and repair of mechanical equipment required.
Experience and knowledge in the use of personal/process control computers, programmable logic controllers (PLC), and Networking devices a plus.
480v 3 phase knowledge required.
Experience and or knowledge of VFD's, control systems (PLC's/HMI's), electrical protective devices.
Excellent mechanical troubleshooting ability.
Experience with participative leadership and time management.
Basic understanding of statistical process control and problem solving skills required.
Proven analytical, planning, problem-solving, and project management skills.
Ability to be flexible and shift priorities in a constantly changing, fast-paced work environment
Competent in using Microsoft Office, including MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint.
Physical Requirements
All production roles are required to pass a pre-employment physical exam to comply with their specific role requirement(s)
Certain roles may require the use of a respirator and passing the associated fit test
Ability to lift up to 50lbs, sometimes repeatedly
Regular walking and standing for long periods of time (up to 11 hours a day) on concrete, metal and grated surfaces
Responsibilities may require crouching, stepping over, crawling under, bending, twisting, climbing and reaching above head and shoulders repeatedly throughout the day
Responsibilities may require climbing flights of stairs, working from heights or on elevated platforms
Ability to wear assigned PPE (safety shoes, gloves, facemask, hearing protection and hard ha )
Established dexterity so you can handle materials, operate equipment and interface with computer systems with precision
Some roles (e.g., forklift operator) may be required to sit for a prolonged period of time and have strong peripheral vision and depth perceptionHourly In accordance with pay transparency lawsthe pay rate for this role if hired is $32.78 per hour.Level 8
