Manager of General Accounting

Carlisle Companies is seeking a Manager of General Accounting to join their growing team in Carlisle, PA at their Carlisle Construction Materials HQ. As a Manager of General Accounting you will be responsible for the maintenance of the organization's general ledger and accounting records of the organization.Duties and Responsibilities:

Leads and coordinates the development and delivery of financial policies, guidelines, and protocols in own area of specialization to ensure the company complies with regulations and good financial practice.

Identifies and communicates the actions needed to implement the function's strategy and business plan within the business area or department; explain the relationship to the broader organization's mission, vision and values; motivates people to commit to these and to doing extraordinary things to achieve local business goals.

Ensures that business activities within the area of responsibility comply with relevant external regulatory and/or voluntary codes and with internal policies and procedures to minimize business risk and to protect the reputation of the organization.

Uses the organization's formal development framework to identify the team's individual development needs. Plan and implement actions, including continuing professional development specified by professional or regulatory institutions, to build their professional capabilities.

Manages and reports on the performance of a substantial, diverse team; set appropriate performance objectives for direct reports or project / account team members and hold them accountable for achieving these; take appropriate corrective action where necessary to ensure the achievement of team / personal objectives.

Education and Experience:

Bachelor's degree.

5+ years of applicable experience preferred.

2+ years of managerial experience preferred
