WHAT YOU WILL DO:

Adhering to Company Safety Policies and Programs such as Lock Out Tag Out(LOTO), Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), Incident/Injury Reporting and Hazard Communication and Labeling; and supporting the Environmental Policy and Environmental Management System.

Operate furnaces with guidance as needed from experienced operators or supervision.

Utilizes hardness tester to verify product meets required hardness.

Maintain the heat treat warehouse by preparing product going to outside vendors.

Maintain cleanliness and organization in department utilizing 6S.

Perform daily department tasks such as cleaner titration, dew point readings, temperature verifications.

Safely utilizes electric pallet jack to move product.

Support team to achieve department and company goals.

Participate in continuous improvement programs.

Communicate production status and issues with other operators and supervision through face-to-face meetings and through email.

Follow established procedures and processes.

Complete assigned maintenance tasks

Organize the department work orders based on due dates.

Performs other duties as required.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

High school diploma or GED.

Basic computer skills.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Must be able to safely lift 50 lbs. for continued periods during a given shift.

Ability to stand for prolonged periods of time (up to twelve 12 hours).

Must be able to work in a non-air-conditioned manufacturing environment for up to 12 hours per shift.

Visual acuity.

Clear communication skills.
