Company :Allegheny Health NetworkJob Description :GENERAL OVERVIEW:Monitors, maintains and repairs the campus boiler system and associated plant equipment.ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

Ensures the safe, continuous, and efficient operation of the main campus boiler system and associated plant equipment. Performs preventive maintenance on main steam boilers, plant chillers and associated equipment. Analyzes and treats water to main steam boilers and associated systems and equipment. Maintains preventive maintenance schedules. (50%)

Responds to service and emergency calls regarding any facility or maintenance issue, e.g. electrical, plumbing, HVAC, on the off-shifts. (35%)

Maintain medical gas systems and pneumatic tube system throughout the hospital. (10%)

Must demonstrate personal accountability for knowledge and application of DOH, Joint Commission and ICRA requirements. (5%)

Performs other duties as assigned or required.

QUALIFICATIONS:Minimum

City of Pittsburgh Stationary Engineer License

Prior experience with water tube boilers and associated equipment including maintenance, repairs, chemical water analysis, and water treatment

Able to read blueprints and electrical schematics

Available to work off shifts
