KOMAN Government Solutions has an immediate need for an Assistant Environmental Engineer in Exton, PA . Responsible for providing support to the project team in executing all aspects of project work. Assignments will typically be related to one or more of the following: project plan preparation and permitting; site investigation, environmental monitoring and multimedia sampling; remedial action implementation and operation & maintenance (O&M); landfill maintenance and monitoring; facilities Sustainment, Restoration and Modernization (SRM) oversight, and other projects as opportunities become available.WHY WORK HERE?

RESPONSIBILITIES:Project Planning and Execution
Support and prepare project plans
Support and prepare permit applications
Prepare for field investigations/sampling events
Assemble required documentation and checklists
Assist in coordinating equipment, materials, and subcontractors
Field Investigation
Support field investigations/sampling events
Collect environmental samples and field measurements
Ensure project plans and associated safety and quality control requirements are implemented
Maintain field forms and other documentation
Summarize data and assist with technical report preparation
Treatment Plant Operation and Maintenance
Become familiar with O&M manual and permit requirements
Review field and lab data
Review operator logs and process sample results to ensure regulatory compliance
Track operating data to ensure efficient operation
Support report preparation
Support performance monitoring events
Remediation/Construction Projects
Assist Site Superintendent with project oversight to ensure all work elements are performed in accordance plans and requirements
Assist in Identifying equipment, materials, and subcontractors required for project
Support report preparation
QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university in engineering, geology, or related science.
0-4 years of relevant work experience
Computer skills required: Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe.
Current OSHA 40-hour training for Hazardous Waste Operations and Emergency Response (HAZWOPER) or ability to obtain before commencing employment is desired
Ability and willingness to undertake frequent travel (estimated 25-50% on average)
