Our client, a leading snacking and beverage manufacturer, is seeking a Machine Operator to join their team. As a Machine Operator, you will operate and troubleshoot all packing room machines. The ideal candidate will have strong teamwork skills, mechanical ability, and mental alertness to identify and react to machine process, quality, and safety issues.Job Title: Machine OperatorLocation: Hanover, PAPay Range: $23.92 per hour, with additional differential pay of $1.00 per hourShifts available: Day and Night shifts, 12-hour shiftsWhat's the Job?

Operate all packing room machines at specified efficiency (speed)

Determine upcoming production needs by studying production sheet to anticipate changeovers and assigned products to machines

Maintain specifications by observing operations, detecting malfunctions, and inspecting product for pleats, leakers, holes, registration, and code-dates to keep within specified bag waste limits

Ensure product specifications by completing weight checks on packing lines

Complete cleaning duties, sanitation duties, and inspections as needed

What's Needed?

Ability to work as a team player and to communicate information one-on-one and in small group situations

Mechanical ability to run equipment and use small hand tools

Basic math and measuring ability

Mental alertness to identify and react to machine process, quality, and safety issues such as lock out/tag out

Ability to comprehend written and oral communication and apply commonsense understanding to carry out and follow instructions and standard procedures
