THE POSITION

The Department of Human Services (DHS) is in need of a business analyst to manage Pennsylvania's Enterprise to Link Information for Children Across Networks (PELICAN). As a Business Analyst 2, you will perform analytical work for documenting, enhancing, and maintaining various systems business processes, data integrity, and system functionality. You will serve as a liaison between the Bureau of Certification Services business users and contracted IT staff, as well as between PELICAN Certification and the Enterprise Licensing System (ELS) initiative. These duties include the development of user stories, system documentation reviews, user acceptance testing, and system implementation. Additionally, you will assist with Help Desk duties and support of SDLC testing and validating, including new project initiatives and training.Interested in learning more? Work hours are 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with 60-minute lunch.

Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time. You are required to report to the Harrisburg office at least once a month and otherwise directed by your supervisor. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection. If you are unable to telework, you will report to the Forum Building in Harrisburg. It is possible during the training period, more frequent days in the office will be required.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

Five years of business process analysis experience; orOne year as a Business Analyst 1; or

One year as an Information Technology Trainee; or

One year of business process analysis experience and a bachelor's degree; or

An equivalent combination of experience and training.
