THE POSITION

The Governor's Office of Digital Strategy is actively searching for a talented and innovative Digital Services Director who will be responsible for implementing Governor Shapiro's GSD philosophy throughout the digital services of the Commonwealth. As the primary liaison for the ongoing Public Web Presence project, this role will address complex challenges in various digital services initiatives, including unemployment compensation and e-grants. As the Digital Services Director, you will work closely with CODE PA, act as the Governor's Office point person on the Public Web Presence transformation, managing the migration of that work to the Office of Administration and leading Governor's Office approvals, involvement, and vision. You will coordinate digital services projects across the Commonwealth between agencies, outside vendors, and CODE PA from conception to completion, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with strategic objectives.Duties will include:Working directly with a range of vendors to both execute digital strategy goals and inform ongoing efforts to update wider Commonwealth policy on digital service goals, procurement, and operational requirements.

Collaborating with key Commonwealth agencies to offer support on high-impact projects like Labor & Industries unemployment compensation and other complex services.

Leading the Office's work reforming outdated bureaucratic process.

Managing the Web Associate, effective performance and development of their skills to meet team goals.

Managing governor.pa.gov, working alongside Content and Communications teams to share the Governor's work through our website and acting as the lead for all written content on the Governor's website.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:Full-time employment

Work hours are 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with 60-minute lunch.

Given the always-on nature of the Governor's Office, work outside of work hours is expected as needed.

Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time one day a week, if operational requirements allow. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office.

Salary:In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITYQUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

A minimum of 3 years of digital experience concentrated on user experience and digital services work.

Additional Requirements:

This position requires experience in website management and HTML.

You must be able to perform essential job functions.
