Job DescriptionAssists in the development of short, medium, and long term plans to achieve strategic objectives. Advanced degree desirable.The Senior Senior Director of the OCI Availability Engineering Project Management Office will be responsible for global business operations, planning, forecasting and execution management in support of Oracle Cloud Infrastructure’s Availability organization and associated services, including Physical, Virtual, and Corporate Networking. This role will report to the SVP of Network Capacity & Planning and will lead a team of business analysts and program managers responsible for:

Annual and quarterly business planning and ongoing (quarterly & monthly) tracking of commitments

Developing and supervising planning activities

Providing updates to engineering management regarding program performance using KPIs, advising executives of deviations and opportunities

Driving automation and systems integration projects to improve accuracy and reduce human error

Collaborating closely with Core Infrastructure engineering all of the above

Providing value-add business analysis to leadership such as identifying concerning or improving trends, outlining areas of risk, and making recommendations on how to address

Establishing and owning programs to generate consistent operational performance metrics across all OCI Availability Engineering teams

Developing and monitoring metrics to measure other key performance indicators and group performance goals

Driving policies and procedures that monitor and support OCI operational and financial business objectives

Providing oversight, review and approval of capex and opex spend for new projects within OCI Availability Engineering

Assisting in the development, tracking and execution of short, medium, and long term plans to achieve strategic objectives

Oversight or advising on ad-hoc strategic initiatives at the request of Oracle executive management

Regularly interacting across functional areas with senior management and executives to ensure unit objectives are met

Identifying key areas for cost reduction and long term savings

May be responsible to work with procurement teams to ensure collection of supplier disputes

May be involved in certain vendor contract reviews and negotiations for pricing and terms

May be involved with compensation and bonus process for OCI Availability team

Career Level - M4Responsibilities

8+ years of professional experience in business operations or Cloud Infrastructure Engineering preferably in a multinational organization.

5-10 years of experience leading and developing engineering program focused teams

Passion for fixing problems, with a curious mind.

Strong analysis and reporting skills with attention to detail and accuracy at the senior executive level

Ability to collect, organize, and display data in consumable format

Closure attitude, sense of urgency. Problem identification and solving skills

Able to meet ambitious turnaround time in a fast-moving environment

Good relationship leadership skills, able to work across global teams who may not have a financial background

Experience in working across business units and with cross-functional collaboration

Manages information with proper sensitivity and has a high sense of Business Ethics

Adaptable to change

Fluency in English, excellent verbal and written communication skill

Paid time off: Flexible Vacation is provided to all eligible employees assigned to a salaried (non-overtime eligible) position. The Senior Director, Medical Communications, also provides therapeutic area lead oversight for publication plans and directly manages medical communication lead(s) in the therapeutic area. The Senior Director, Medical Communications also oversees medical content creation for the therapeutic area including the development of MSL slide decks and medical booth content. The Senior Director, Medical Communications is also responsible for leadership of the successful and timely implementation of publication and scientific plans within budget. He/she is responsible for aligning and coordinating publication and medical communication strategy at the global level.
