Job DescriptionPenn State Health - Milton S. Hershey Medical CenterLocation: US:PA:HersheyWork Type: PRNFTE: 0.001Shift: VariedHours: variedSUMMARY OF POSITION:Responsible for providing direct support as an allied professional to the Electrophysiologist, their fellows, residents, students and all colleagues. This position is also responsible for coordinating scheduling of all required follow-up appointments for patients with cardiac rhythm disturbance, abnormalities and implantable cardiac rhythm management devices.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:Graduate of a recognized one (1) or two (2) year program in Cardiovascular Technology, Electrophysiology or Allied Health Program; or one (1) year job related experience required.BLS certification required or obtained within two (2) months of hire.ACLS certification required or obtained within six (6) months of hire.PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:Proficient in operating various device manufacturer programmers preferred.One (1) year of effective clinical training as a pacemaker technician trainee or apprentice preferred.If chosen for this position, you may required to pass a Post Offer Employment Physical Exam in accordance with the measurements listed in the Work Task Analysis (WTA) report.
