A postdoctoral scholar position is available immediately in the Qiu laboratory at Penn State College of Medicine, Penn State Cancer Institute at Hershey, PA. The laboratory is located in the Penn State Cancer Institute, a state-of-art building providing all the necessary shared equipment and centralized research facilities. The lab focuses on delineating the epigenetic pathways that regulate hematopoiesis. Our current research focuses are: 1) Study of epigenetic modulation in hematopoietic stem cell differentiation using genome wide and single cell RNA seq analysis; 2) Investigate the role of key transcription factors in regulating hematopoiesis in knockout and knockin mouse models.This is a limited-term appointment funded for one year from date of hire.Candidates should have obtained a PhD or an MD/PhD degree and research training in the fields of Molecular Biology, Cell Biology, Biochemistry, or Genetics.The candidate should have evidence of prior productive scientific works in the form of publications in peer-reviewed journals. Prior experience in the study of gene regulation, hematopoiesis, bioinformatics analysis, and/or use of mouse models is preferred.
