Description We are seeking a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our team in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. This role involves supporting the project team concerning contract modifications, purchase order quantities, compliance, payments, reports, and other duties related to the project. The Staff Accountant will interface between the Controller and Project Managers from project initialization through final invoicing to ensure accuracy in billing, cost accounting, and process compliance for assigned projects.Responsibilities: Assist in setting up and maintaining subcontractor agreements. Analyze and resolve invoicing and billing issues with sub-contractors. Review sub-contractor invoices to ensure agreement terms are followed. Maintain project level financial records such as contracts, change orders, monthly billing for subcontractors. Manage entry of cost and receivables in the accounting system as well as the project projections worksheets. Ensure project general requirements and labor cost are current and accurate. Provide job cost and profitability reporting to the Project Manager, Operations and Accounting Team. Monitor project commitments, cost to complete and actual cost to ensure project margins are maintained. Contribute to the preparation and organization of project close-out documents. Collect and maintain insurance certificates in compliance with project requirements. Requirements Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Staff Accountant or in a similar role Experience in Construction Accounting is preferred Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance is preferredRobert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
