Quality and Kreative Kids Childcare Center is an academic childcare and learning center for children ages 6 weeks to 12 years old. We offer full time, part time, before and after school childcare which is partnered with a monthly curriculum. At Q & K Kids we offer a diverse staff which allows our students to mature and develop with realistic life interactions. Job Overview/Summary
We are seeking a teacher assistant with a passion for Early Childhood Education. We are looking for a teacher assistant to assist with planning and supervising children in accordance with the center policies and guidelines. Maintains a safe, healthy, and educational environment for all children. Communicates regularly with parents, in person and using technology.
The teacher assistant ensures children's basic needs, such as nutritional and developmental education, are met. The teacher assistant help with healthy intellectual and psychological growth of the children. They will also assist with teaching and supervising children while also motivating them to use their mental capacities and exercise their imagination. In addition, the teacher assistant will assist with keeping the facility clean and safe.
We're seeking individuals with a genuine passion for working with children, aiming for a commitment of 1-2 years with our organization. Ideal candidates will be tech-savvy, capable or willing to learn how to create lesson plans and engaging activities. Both independent work and teamwork are crucial. Additionally, we value intuitive and creative thinkers with strong communication skills.
Qualifications
· Required – High school diploma or GED.
· Preferred but not required – Certifications in early childhood development.
· Possesses physical and mental stamina required to oversee large numbers of young children on a daily basis.
· Familiar in using educational technology and software. Tech Savvy
· Knowledge or willingness to learn the educational policies, regulations, and standards for the state of Pennsylvania.
· Knowledge or willingness to learn the health and safety regulations pertaining to childcare.
· Preferred but not required - First Aid and CPR certification.
· Ability to pass all State Mandated background checks and health assessment pertaining to working in a childcare facility.
· Excellent communication skills, including the ability to communicate effectively with children, parents, and colleagues.
· Patience, empathy, and a genuine love for working with children.
· Understanding of child development principles and age-appropriate activities.
· Is able to think and act quickly in a crisis.
· Cleaning which includes dusting, sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, wiping surfaces, toys, restroom cleaning etc.
Available Shifts
· Teacher Assistant: 930am-630pm, Monday thru Friday
· Teacher Assistant: 8am-5pm, Monday thru Friday
