Associate General Counsel

Macquarie Asset Management is searching for an Associate General Counsel to work within the Registered US Investment space.

What role will you play?

As Associate General Counsel, you will be responsible for review of shareholder reports, preparation of board materials, negotiation of service agreements, and review of advertising materials. Additionally, you will work on portfolio investments (private placements, derivatives, complex securities, corporate actions), respond to RFPs, support unregistered funds, and also handle general corporate matters along with special projects.

What you offer

Bachelor's Degree in a related field, plus JD from an accredited US law school.

8+ years' legal experience, within a minimum of 4+ years the institutional asset management space, hedge fund space, derivatives space, transactional law space.

A keen understanding of the Investment Company Act of 1940, Federal securities law, and the financial services industry as a whole

Proven ability to handle multiple priorities simultaneously, across multiple teams within a growing organization.

Strong communication skills with the ability to interface with C-level executives and department heads regularly.
