The Alliance Alumni Fellow is a unique position, not stationed at one AWE Environmental Center, but assisting in coordination of Fellowship Alumnus activities and broader Alliance for Watershed Education (AWE) work. An alumnus of the Fellowship program is preferred for this position.The Delaware River Watershed Fellowship is a 12-week, paid opportunity designed to introduce young people from local communities to environmental careers. Fellows are hired at one of 23 environmental education centers across the Delaware River Watershed. Fellows participate in training sessions to help prepare them for a summer of helping people connect with nature and informing their local communities about issues affecting the Delaware River, the source of drinking water for 13 million people living in the region.Position Location: AWE Alumni Fellow will be employed by Audubon Mid-Atlantic, working virtually from home as well as on location at the Discovery Center in Philadelphia (3401 Reservoir Drive Philadelphia, PA). The Alliance Alumni Fellow will report to AWE's Fellowship Coordinator (also based at the Discovery Center) and work closely with AWE's Fellowship Coordinator, Managing Director and Communications Manager. Some travel to other Centers within the Alliance will be required. The position period is September 3, 2024 April 3, 2025.Compensation:

$16.00 - $18.00 / hour

Essential Functions

The Alliance Support Fellow will be focused on:

Alumni communications,

Workshop development and hosting, and supporting the Alumni committee Co-chairs.

The Alliance Support Fellow will specifically:

Assist in planning and logistics of the Fellowship program's Alumni activities alongside the Fellowship Coordinator.

Assist in AWE-wide communication efforts to keep Alumni informed, such as taking photos during in-person Fellowship activities to share through AWE's social media channels via AWE's Communications staff.

Alumni Communications and activity coordination.

Help organize internal AWE Fellows documents to facilitate general network communication.

Qualifications and Experience

An alumnus of the AWE Fellowship program is preferred for this position.

Age 18+ by January 2, 2024.

A background in environmental education is a plus but not required
