Business Banking Treasury Sales Market Manager

DescriptionCitizens Bank is seeking a motivated, independent, Business Banking Treasury Sales leader who is strategic and demonstrates exceptional leadership and coaching skills. This role requires time in the field, working alongside team members during customer and prospect meetings, as well as engaging with Centers of Influence (COIs). The candidate should be adept at building and fostering strong internal partnerships through proactive outreach and strategic planning with Business Banking Market Executives, Market Managers, and other key stakeholders to drive sales activity, portfolio retention, and enhance sales outcomes. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES Field Engagement and Coaching:

Conduct joint customer and prospect appointments with Treasury Sales Specialists (TSS) to secure new business, achieve team goals, enhance the customer experience, and resolve issues effectively.

Deliver in-field coaching and development to the TSS team, focusing on sales skills, relationship management, and solution delivery.

Strategic Leadership and Team Development:

Participate in and lead business banking meetings to drive cash management results

Develop and implement coaching strategies to ensure TSS colleagues meet goals and strategic objectives through remote and in-person coaching, pipeline management, and pre-call planning.

Partner with Sales Associates and Implementation teams to ensure workflow efficiency, effective support for the TSS team, and excellent customer onboarding journey.

Build and sustain strong relationships with internal partners to foster a collaborative environment that drives results.

Pipeline and Sales Management:

Oversee pipeline management in CRM platform to ensure opportunities are advancing appropriately and strategically.

Approve pricing exceptions that align with both customer needs and the bank’s profitability and risk standards.

Execute a holistic, forward-looking strategy to drive fee revenue growth across Merchant Services, Foreign Exchange, Commercial Card, and Treasury Solutions.

Risk Management and Compliance:

Ensure adherence to all risk and compliance requirements, providing leadership in addressing any identified risks or control issues.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or related field (or equivalent work experience) preferred.

3 years of experience in treasury or cash management sales.

Strong knowledge of cash management products, services, and industry trends.

Demonstrated ability to build strategic relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

Strong negotiation, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.

Expertise in pipeline management and sales forecasting, with proficiency in Salesforce or similar CRM systems.

High level of financial and business acumen, with the ability to understand and apply customer-focused strategies.

Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion in team management and business practices.

Willingness to travel within the market to meet team and customer needs.

Experience with recruiting, onboarding, and retaining top talent.

Prior management experience preferred, or proven ability to coach and develop a high performing sales team

Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills; advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Powerpoint).
