Essity Consumer Goods Americas is looking for an experienced Consumer & Market Understanding Manager who will conduct analysis on and enable access to local insights across shopper, customer and consumer intelligence to provide accurate and timely information to support the business in making correct strategic and operational decisions for growth. Represent the Consumer, Customer and Shopper in the organization. Lead the plan for Consumer/Customer & Shopper research, oversee understanding and creation of Consumer/Customer & Shopper insights, and provide recommendations to develop and grow the business.

Provide market research knowledge, expertise, and advice on assigned projects within the organization.

Co-ordinate information sharing with others (within and outside the organization) and deliver local business and other intelligence ensuring that this information is understood.

Be the Consumer/Customer & Shopper expert and champion within all and the wider organization and Essity Marketing community.

Acquire and provide continuous Market Data (e.g., Nielsen, Kantar, IRI, Intellibrand, IQVIA, etc.)

Consolidate relevant Consumer/Customer & Shopper and category analysis and understanding to generate insights, ideas, and concepts, and proactively use this information within assigned projects.

Deliver consumer insight research requirements for delegated brands.

Collect and share relevant recent Consumer/Customer & Shopper and category trend development within the organization.

Support the creation of category vision and drivers for all relevant categories and coordinate adaptation from Global to regional/local needs.

Lead and run large or continuous research projects (e.g., segmentation, brand health tracking) and individual studies for Marketing teams.

Manage continuous, ad hoc research (Shopper & local Consumer/Customer) and insight budgets.

Propose and implement the annual research plan for the organization to fill customer knowledge/insight gaps, brand and innovation development/testing needs, and maximize synergies.

Contribute to best practice sharing, respective networks and projects.

Responsible for the choice of adequate research method for the assigned projects.

Ensure the market research library is maintained and up to date.Who You Are

At least 3 years' experience in Consumer/Customer Research and managing Market data databases (e.g., Nielsen, Kantar, IRI, Close Up, IQVIA, etc.) or similar.

Great service attitude, analytical skills, teamwork oriented, and sense of urgency.

Seniority to maintain continuous interaction with the Senior Leadership Team

Experience managing Research within Consumer Goods businesses.
