The Department of Medicine in the Sidney Kimmel Medical College is seeking a new member of the Division of Hematology. The candidate should be Board certified in Hematology, eligible for appointment at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor, and have an interest in general adult Hematology. The Hematology Division at Jefferson has an existing strong group of superb clinical Hematologists that care for adult in-patients and out-patients with primarily non-malignant Hematologic disorders.The Hematology Division has an outstanding Hemophilia and Thrombosis Center, supported by a 340B program. The clinical program in Hereditary Anemias encompasses a successful interdisciplinary Sickle Cell Disease Program. The physicians also manage patients with acquired cytopenias, myeloproliferative disorders and bone marrow failure syndromes. The Hematology Division has a combined fellowship program with Medical Oncology and the Hematologic Malignancies/Stem Transplant Program in the Sidney Kimmel Cancer Center with a long history of clinical and education excellence, as well as numerous research opportunities.The successful candidate will have patient care responsibilities on the in-patient and out-patient services and will have the opportunity to do research in the existing strong clinical trials, health outcomes research programs in the Division. Masterrsquo;s degree or higher training in clinical trials, population health or outcomes research is preferred.
