If so, this role may be for you!A Medical Affairs Medical Director has strong clinical and scientific training and is capable of taking on many aspects of medical affairs work (insight generation, scientific communications, external and scientific engagement, provision of medical advice to internal stakeholders). The focus of the Medical Director is to provide input and expertise into the medicine strategy, develop and execute the related tactical plans, support external engagement, and provide insight and deeper understanding of the data generated including recommending medical claims.This role will provide YOU the opportunity to lead key activities to progress YOUR career. These responsibilities include some of the following:Supports the US Medical Affairs Lead with development and execution of US medical affairs plans.Leads planning and execution of medical tactics; contributes to medical material development, communication plans, application of customer insight.Partners with Medical Communications and Training and Medical Information to ensure materials created align with US medical strategy and business needs.Understands, interprets, and applies external environment and competitive knowledge to all medical activities and can define the medical story for the patient.Provides input into the selection of investigator sponsored studies in alignment with the global franchises.Understands and communicates clinical and market access data requirements for US market; in partnership with the US Medical Affairs Lead, provides input to shape clinical and health outcomes evidence plans to support anticipated US Market needs.In partnership with the US Medical Affairs Lead, provides input into the design of Clinical Trials, development plans, and Integrated Evidence planning; coordinates with relevant Global Medical Team roles and R&D technical experts e.g. Global Value Evidence and Outcomes and Epidemiology as required.In collaboration with field medical, leads/contributes to appropriate US scientific engagement between GSK and external communities in order to advance scientific and medical understanding including the appropriate development and use of our medicines, the management of disease, and patient care.Partners with all stakeholders to ensure delivery of all assigned medical activities to support life cycle management, ensuring integrity of scientific content.Applies sound medical governance for all activities.Support the USMAL, Head Oncology Portfolio or Medical Affairs TAH as needed.Why you?Basic Qualifications:

We are looking for professionals with these required skills to achieve our goals:PharmD, PhD, MD.3+ years of pharmaceutical industry and medical affairs background.Managed a cross-functional team.US launch experience.Preferred Qualifications:
