Job DescriptionAs one of the leaders of Evernorth Behavioral Health’s Product Team, you will manage a team of product managers focused on transforming solutions and advancing Behavioral Care across all 50 states and across all lines of business. We are seeking a Product expert who has managed the full product delivery lifecycle excels at leading people and someone who is passionate about behavioral health transformation. The Director of Product Development will help shape and define the Behavioral Health product strategy for Evernorth Health Services and position products to perform at scale. This role will work closely with the Evernorth Growth team to support sales, sales enablement and ultimately drive revenue growth for Evernorth.This is an opportunity to be part of building something transformational, backed with the stability and scalability of a Fortune 15 company. We are seeking a leader with a high sense of urgency and the ability to partnerCross-functionally in a matrixed environment to accelerate growth in behavioral health. This role will report directly to the Head of Product for Evernorth Behavioral Health and lead a team of product managers.You will make an impact by:

Defining the vision for Evernorth Health Products and serving as the point person to define product goals, multi-year roadmaps centered around a deep understanding of the Behavioral Health landscape and advance disruptive solutions

Leveraging your financial acumen to creating and manage profitable products; the ability to develop and manage Key Performance Indicators is required

Ensuring products are appropriately positioned toward the highest impact of growth, documented to advance clarity of product features inclusive of member and provider experience and socialized with matrix partners

Developing and maintaining a competitive market view on Evernorth behavioral offerings and crafting strategies to maintain market leadership

Serving as the product expert internally and externally to advance industry leading solutions across Evernorth, while leveraging the company’s innovative and comprehensive data analytics, expertise and solutions

Leading the charge in continuously discovering and validating customer problems and market opportunities and collaborating closely with Data Analytics, Data Engineering, UX/UI design, and business partners to gather input and communicate product updates. Continuously share the product vision and strategies to secure alignment across the organization

Demonstrating success analyzing data, advancing critical analysis to solve complex internal, client and customer challenges

Being customer-centric in spirit and in execution with a product and growth mindset with a test and learn mentality and an agile way of working to improve your team's products

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, Engineering, Healthcare, or related field OR equivalent work experience. Master's and/or MBA degree preferred.

8+ years advancing through strategic and leadership roles in healthcare, product management, with preferred expertise in behavioral health, marketing and advertising or a related field, and with a strong track record in product delivery

5+ years as a Product Manager and Journey Owner and in building and leading high performing teams.

Broad knowledge, expertise and proficiency in health care products, services, sales distribution models, external broker, and customer / client relationship management

Hands-on experience with Jiro, Confluence, Microsoft products and demonstrated experience working in an Agile environment

Proven experience in leading cross-functional teams and a track record of success in developing cross organizational relationships and collaboration in a highly matrixed organization

Ability to listen to market needs, translate them into actionable product requirements, and collaborate with engineering and data analytics to advance thoughtful business cases for change and deliver market-ready products that align with both customer and business objectives.

Strong project management capabilities and a results-oriented mindset.

Proficiency in data analysis and data-driven decision-making.

Understanding of automation, AI and GenAI technologies and their application in business operations across multiple domains including Customer Care

Building collaborative relationships with key partners by driving priorities aligned to business goals, communicating, and prioritizing product roadmaps, and gaining buy-in from executive leadership

Providing overall direction by analyzing business objectives and customer needs

Building a team environment by selecting, training, and mentoring a team of 4-6 Product Managers and Senior Product Advisors.

Ability to travel up to 30%

If you will be working at home occasionally or permanently, the internet connection must be obtained through a cable broadband or fiber optic internet service provider with speeds of at least 10Mbps download/5Mbps upload.For this position, we anticipate offering an annual salary of 158,100 - 263,500 USD / yearly, depending on relevant factors, including experience and geographic location.This role is also anticipated to be eligible to participate in an annual bonus and long term incentive plan.We want you to be healthy, balanced, and feel secure.
