Senior Airport Civil Engineer - R-118999DESCRIPTION/RESPONSIBILITIES:
How will you contribute to the team?
Leads/supports coordination with diverse design teams comprised of variety of design professionals and multi-discipline subconsultants during design and construction phases.
Oversees design elements and leads production of engineering drawings for airport and airport-related civil engineering projects including runways, taxiways, aprons, roadway, parking lots, and supporting infrastructure.
Prepares specifications, contract documents, and other project related documents such as estimates, reports, and permit applications.
Develops and evaluates plans and criteria for new projects, weighing alternatives and selecting the most cost-effective solution.
Performs field observations of construction where appropriate.
Coordinates with clients, permitting agencies, FAA, and other agencies having jurisdiction as required.
Participates in quality control checks, maintaining quality standards in all work produced, checking computations, and/or reviewing designs and drawings performed by others.
Upholds engineering ethics and standards of conduct.
Performs such other duties as the supervisor may from time to time deem necessaryWhat will you contribute?
B.S. or M.S. in Civil Engineering in Engineering and have 5-10 years of experience.
PE License is preferred but not required.
Experience with airside and landside aviation projects.
Detailed knowledge of FAA Advisory Circulars, airport design, and engineering standards.
Good interpersonal skills.
Strong technical writing and communications skills.
Proficient with AutoCAD Civil 3D, Microsoft Office, and Bluebeam.What we offer at AtkinsRéalis:
