The Senior Business Systems Analyst serves as a vital link between business objectives and technical solutions within SSTK. They analyze business processes, gather and document requirements, and collaborate with stakeholders to identify opportunities for improvements and enhancements. The individual will facilitate communication between business and technical teams, ensuring that solutions align with organizational goals and meet user needs. Through data analysis and solution evaluation, they will contribute to informed decision-making and support the successful implementation of projectsThe day to day:Conduct meetings and workshops with stakeholders to elicit, document, and prioritize business requirements.Analyze and refine requirements to ensure clarity, completeness, and alignment with business goals and objectives.Collaborate with subject matter experts to understand existing business processes, workflows, and pain points.Facilitate communication and collaboration between business stakeholders, IT teams, and project managers to ensure a shared understanding of project requirements and expectations.Present findings, recommendations, and project updates to stakeholders through meetings, presentations, and written documentation.Address stakeholder concerns, questions, and feedback in a timely and effective manner.Model and document current and future-state business processes using techniques such as process mapping, use case diagrams, and workflow diagrams.Identify opportunities for process improvement, automation, and optimization to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.Analyze data from multiple sources to identify trends, patterns, and insights that inform decision-making and drive business outcomes.Develop data models, data dictionaries, and data mappings to ensure consistency and integrity of data across systems and processes.Collaborate with architects, developers, and other stakeholders to design solutions that address business requirements and technical constraints.Evaluate potential solutions, products, and technologies to determine their suitability and feasibility in meeting business needs.Participate in solution workshops and design sessions to translate requirements into actionable design specifications.Develop test plans, test cases, and test scripts to validate that solutions meet business requirements and quality standards.Conduct functional testing, integration testing, and user acceptance testing to identify defects and ensure system reliability and performance.Work closely with QA teams and developers to triage and resolve issues identified during testing.Create and maintain project documentation, including business requirements documents, functional specifications, use cases, and user manuals.Ensure that documentation is organized, up-to-date, and accessible to stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.What you'll bring to the role:Experience working with ERP products like Workday, preferred.In-depth business analysis experience, with a proven ability to lead project development and oversee technical teams. Demonstrated experience in defining, designing, and implementing complex software solutions.Strong analytical abilities to understand complex business processes, identify problems, and propose effective solutions.Proficiency i data analysis techniques and tools to interpret trends, patterns, and insights from large datasets.Deep understanding of business principles, industry standards, and best practices.Ability to translate business requirements into technical specifications and vice versa, ensuring alignment between business objectives and IT solutions.Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.Ability to facilitate meetings, gather requirements, and present findings and recommendations in a clear and concise manner.Familiarity with software development methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall) and project management frameworks.-Knowledge of business process modeling techniques and tools (e.g., BPMN, UML) to document workflows and system interactions.Understanding of database concepts, SQL queries, and data modeling principles.Experience with enterprise software systems (e.g., ERP, CRM) and related technologies.Strong problem-solving abilities to analyze complex issues, identify root causes, and propose effective solutions.Collaborative mindset and ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities, project requirements, and business needs in a dynamic environment.Willingness to learn new technologies and methodologies to enhance job performance and professional development.Thoroughness and attention to detail in documenting requirements, conducting analysis, and testing solutions to ensure accuracy and reliability.Why Shutterstock:You have a direct impact on the success of the company.
