STV is currently searching for aSenior Mechanical Engineering Operations Manager to join ourBuildings Divisionout of ourNYC Office.The Senior Mechanical Engineering Operations Manager may serve as a lead on large projects and be responsible for the design of facilities, related to mechanical systems across a variety of markets including Healthcare, Education, Municipal, Industrial, Federal and Science and Technology industries.JOB REQUIREMENTS
This position includes a combination of engineering and management duties.
This individual manages and coordinates activities of the department, providing the manpower and technical resources in a specific functional area necessary for overall project design development and support.
Coordinates with project managers to determine scope, complexity, and planning and scheduling requirements of projects.
Assigns department personnel to provide engineering and technical support in the specific area.
Determines personnel needed with the most appropriate individual qualifications and prepares manpower and cost estimates of the department as required.
Ensures the quality, accuracy, and completeness of departmental work as to planning, environmental compliance, engineering, design, and drafting quality; compliance with established standards, procedures, codes, and ordinances; adherence to design and project schedules.
Plans and schedules work for the department ensuring the proper and effective distribution of assignments and manpower, space, and facilities for subsequent performance of duties.
Takes an active role in proposal preparation.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering from an ABET-accredited University.
NY Professional Engineering license is a must.
A minimum of 10 years in the design of engineering systems for large complex buildings.
Excellent technical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Strong verbal and written communications skills.
Proficient with MS Office suite (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint).
Experience using energy modeling software is preferred.
Working knowledge of Revit and AutoCAD is preferred.
Accreditation in LEED, Green Globe, or ASHRAE High Performance Buildings is preferred.Compensation Range:$140,352.00 - $187,136.00Don't meet every single requirement?
