Position Summary

The therapist will provide individual, group, and family therapies to children, adolescents or adults depending on program support population using evidence-based practices in addiction-substance use disorders, mental health diagnosis and other areas as required by program. Perform initial assessment, treatment plans, individual and group counseling, coordinate with program support staff to identify and secure additional services and resources based on client needs.

Essential Duties and Functions

Therapy

Conduct intake assessments including recommendations for treatment

Provide individual, group and family therapies to people with mental health, medical, and substance abuse issues.

Caseload management

Maintain active caseload including engaging individuals in ongoing treatment.

Maintain tracking system for treatment plans, and other required documents to meet program funder guidelines and program goals.

Participate in clinical group meetings regarding ongoing treatment goals, progress and discharge as needed.

Sit in on funding source reviews for continued stay collaboration and continuity of care across providers.

Administrative

Enter documentation into electronic medical records in accordance with agency guidelines.

Essential Duties Addendum:

NOVAIII - 14 bed co-ed facility located in the Germantown section of Philadelphia. It is a 3.5 High Medically Managed Residential Treatment Facility with 24-hr nursing. Referral requirements are: Mental Health, Medical necessity requiring 24-hour care, and substance use disorder.

Produce written results document summarizing clinical impressions and recommendations

Consult with Clinical Manager and/or Program Director on decision-making for challenging cases

Facilitate group therapy as required in absence of team members

Provide trauma-informed care to individuals suffering with chronic medical illnesses and medical crisis

Will be required to train in DBT and Seeking Safety

Understand that hours may vary to attend staff meetings and trainings which are mandatory and must be available

Work schedule is Tues-Sat (with the understanding the need to be flexible with team to cover programmatic needs)Qualifications

Master's degree from an accredited college or university in a human service field.

Two years' experience providing direct therapy in the area of mental health, and substance use.

Familiar with standard business computer software programs and electronic Health Care Database programs.

ACT 33/34 clearances if required by program

FBI clearance, as needed
