JMT is currently ranked #61 on Engineering News-Record’s list of the Top 500 Design Firms.Visit our website at JMTArchitecture.comPosition Summary Responsible for managing a range of transportation and transit facilities capital projects and related planning, design and delivery.We are seeking a dynamic, innovative, and quality-oriented Architect or Engineer with a minimum of 10 years of experience who is interested in managing transportation and transit facilities projects. The successful candidate should be comfortable working with internal and external clients, demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills, and possess the ability to manage multiple projects and assignments at one time.Essential Functions and Responsibilities

Serve as Project Manager for the management of multi-discipline design teams planning and designing transportation, transit and other related facilities for state and local agencies

Develop and ensures that project design scope, budgets and schedules are maintained, and project milestones are met

Oversee drawings, specifications, cost estimates, and calculations to ensure compliance with design standards and intent

Oversee preparation and documentation for facility feasibility studies, planning studies, and site studies

Provide technical leadership and drive resolution for project designs and coordination

Oversee quality assurance for meeting design criteria and regulatory requirements

Supervise and mentor staff

Work with engineers, architects, owner staff, and others to investigate and resolve facility issues

Prepare and presents studies and reports

Development of extra work order requests and open-end contract task proposals

Coordinate and assist Section Heads, Office Leaders, and Practice Leaders with marketing proposals

Nonessential Functions and Responsibilities

Required SkillsRequired Experience

Bachelor of Architecture, Professional degree in Architecture, or Bachelor of Engineering

Minimum of 10+ years of architectural or engineering design experience

Professional Architect or Engineers License

Proficient with Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

Familiar with computer-assisted design software such as Revit and AutoCAD

Preferred Experience

Experience managing transportation, transit and community capital projects

LEED AP accreditation preferred

NCARB accreditation preferred (Architects only)

Working Conditions

Work is generally sedentary in nature but may require occasional standing and walking. Lighting and temperature are adequate and there are no hazardous or unpleasant conditions caused by noise, dust, etc. within the office environment.

Field work is required on occasions where work may be conducted outside in heat/cold, wet/humid, and dry/arid conditions.
