Legacy Auction & Realty, an established full-service auction company with 16 years of excellence, is seeking a highly motivated Auction Manager to join our partnership program.
This is a performance-driven, independent contractor role offering unlimited earning potential.
Position Overview
As an Auction Manager, you will operate as your own business within our proven platform. You will:
Prospect and Secure Consignments – Identify and develop sales opportunities with estates, businesses, collectors, and institutions throughout your chosen geography which is nearly unlimited
Create Professional Online Auction Catalogs – Travel to consignment locations to sort, photograph, document, and upload high-quality listings to our online bidding platform
Manage On-site Operations – Oversee buyer preview and removal/pickup days, ensuring efficiency, security, and client satisfaction
Each assignment presents unique assets and customer needs—antiques, fine art, vehicles, firearms, jewelry, collectibles, equipment, commercial inventory/overstocks, and more—delivering variety and professional growth.
Key Responsibilities
Prospecting within your desired geography as a generalist or a niche to secure consignment of desirable items or event/benefit agreements for noble causes
Conduct site visits to evaluate, photograph, and catalog items with precision and attention to detail
Write compelling, accurate lot descriptions that maximize bidder engagement
Upload photos, specifications, and pricing to our auction management system
Coordinate and supervise item removal days with efficiency and care
Build lasting relationships with consignors and buyers
Ideal Candidate
Proven Sales Ability – Experience in auctions, buying/selling, fundraising, or consultative sales; skilled at lead generation and closing
Technical Proficiency – Expert in digital photography, basic photo editing, and online platforms; comfortable learning auction software
Operational Excellence – Organized, deadline-oriented, efficient, and capable of sorting, safely handling, photographing, and describing diverse items
Client-Facing Professionalism – Polished appearance, empathetic communication, and unwavering integrity in sensitive environments (e.g., estate transitions)
Self-Motivated & Income-Focused – Thrives in a 100% commission structure with no base salary
Prior auction experience is valued but not required—demonstrated self-motivation and transferable skills are essential.
Compensation & Structure
1099 Independent Contractor
Earn 100% of the Seller’s Commission on every auction you originate and manage
Average seller commission is a percentage of hammer price
Full schedule control—scale from part-time side income to a full-time operation as desired
You receive support for sales breakthrough, marketing, bidding platform, payment processing, order fulfillment
Minimum Requirements Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
Smartphone with camera, or digital camera
Ability to lift 50 lbs and navigate stairs/ladders
Clean background check
